Collaborations
Community:
Horseback Miracles, Inc. (HBM) functions on a year-round schedule within the community base consisting of residential treatment centers, a behavioral research methodologist (evaluator), an educational kinesiologist, an educational psychologist, an organizational development and training expert and volunteers.
Excelsior Youth Center (Aurora), Cedar Springs Behavioral Hospital (Colorado Springs), Perry Park Ranch and the University of Colorado (Boulder) have all been active and direct partners in HBM’s Life Values Equine Therapy Program. By establishing community-based coalitions with agencies, we are all leveraging our resources through sharing of facilities and staffing. This provides a complete wrap-around service for the participants. The residential treatment centers provide the clients, transportation, therapists, and staff to work with HBM. This support allows HBM staff to focus on the program activities, to monitor and support the participants’ progress and to maximize operational efficiency.
Business:
HBM recognizes that every business organization views charitable donations/investments similar to a business investment venture. Return on investment may include not only financial gain, but also an opportunity for business organizations to accommodate their mission plans and visions. HBM is prepared and has the flexibility to enhance organizations’ quest in furthering their “causes” and core values .
These partnerships, along with HBM’s National Training Center Certification Program, creates the duplication process with the overall goal of being able to reach more girls, to engage their innate learning abilities and to ultimately give these girls an opportunity for a better life.
The projected certification pilot test training session is for 10 national facilitators in 2011.
